Our History

The Caribeae Swimming Academy Club has grown steadily from a very small membership base in 1978, into Central Queensland’s best and Rockhampton’s largest swimming club. An inclusive club, every member is made welcome and becomes part of our extended 'family".

Club Goals:
  • To promote swimming as a sport for life;
  • To encourage sportsmanship amongst all of our members;
  • To develop leadership qualities in all members;
  • To provide 'life skill' learning opportunities;
  • To promote self-discipline in all members;
  • To create opportunities for families to share 'Quality Time' with one another;
  • To assist & provide opportunities for swimmers to reach their full potential in our sport;
  • To provide self-development opportunities for all club members;
  • To provide financial assistance.

Club Success:
  • Thousands of children have benefited from their club membership.
  • Many have used the skills learnt in training and competition to become successful business people & community leaders.
  • Caribeae swimmers have gained international recognition in Pool Swimming, Surf Swimming and Royal Life Saving.
  • Many have earned the mantle of Australian Champion, Queensland Champion and Regional Champion.
  • Numerous members have excelled in other sporting endeavours as well.  
  • Most importantly, we have had all of our members enjoy their swimming experiences with the Caribeae Swimming Academy Club.

Club Activities: 
  • To provide all club swimmers with an enjoyable and social opportunity;
  • To create opportunities for swimmers to master the competitive rules that apply to each of the swimming strokes;
  • To help members achieve whatever swimming goals they may each have;
  • To learn and improve racing skill;
  • To provide opportunities for members to socialize together; 
  • Whether it be a sausage sizzles, pizza night, bbqs that accompany each club night;
  • Enjoy the fun and excitement of club nights that are conducted in a friendly atmosphere;
  • To promote friendship between our swimmers and those from other clubs;
  • Provide opportunities for families to share quality time together.
